To our Science City team and participants, we wanted to provide everyone an update on Science City and the 2021 Tucson Festival of Books (TFOB).  The leadership team at TFOB just announced today that the 2021 festival will be 100% online.

In earlier conversations with TFOB, the leadership teams at BIO5 and the College of Science have decided that Science City will take a pause from TFOB for 2021.  Given a variety of factors, we believe this is in the best interest of the organizing entities as well as to preserve the integrity of the interactive experience festival participants are accustomed to at Science City.

Although Science City won’t be happening in 2021, certainly we encourage any of you who wish to volunteer your personal time to the Festival and/or have your organizations participate directly with TFOB to do so.  We look forward to when more “normal” times return and hopefully an in person TFOB in 2022.
