At the Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books, the science of everyday life and the science of tomorrow are only a few booths away. Over 150 participants from the UA, Biosphere 2, OSIRIS-REx and many other clubs, departments and organizations will gather together to share their science with the general public.

Welcome back to Tucson Science Scene! Spring is here in the Sonoran Desert. Along with the wildflowers, March brings the Tucson Festival of Books (the weekend of March 14, 15), the third biggest book festival in the country! Held at the University of Arizona, (U of A) the Book Fest celebrates our region’s passion for reading and knowledge.
Things Will Erupt At The Tucson Festival of Books
The Villarica volcano erupted early Tuesday near Pucon, Chile, spewing a towering lava fountain and an ash plume into the sky above the volcano. The impressive eruption of one of the Chile's most active volcanoes piques the interest and imaginations of many children (and grownups, too). The kid- and adult-friendly Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books will offer a peek into volcanos.
The Tucson Festival of Books is also coming up, which has grown in a very short time into one of the largest
festivals of its kind in the United States. One of the most popular offerings is also the state's largest STEM
(science, technology, math and engineering) event: Science City, a special area of the festival that offers hands-on activities for adults and children of all ages.

Preventive and Responsive Medicine for Our Times" at 2:30 p.m. March 14 on the Science stage in Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books.

The 7th Annual Tucson Festival of Books is going to rock. A writers’ rock ’n’ roll band is joining the lineup of the two-day, family-oriented community celebration of reading and literacy set for March 14-15 on the University of Arizona campus.The event again gathers great authors to disccus compelling topics, complemented with food and entertainment, to raise money to support literacy. The Rock Bottom Remainders, an oldies rock cover band whose members are best-selling authors, kick off the festival on March 13 with a concert that replaces the
