About Science City

The University of Arizona’s College of Science and BIO5 Institute are proud to once again co-host Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books- a setting of thematic neighborhoods and stages spanning the exciting worlds of science and technology.

Join us as we show you why we are Obsessed with Science!

Ignite your senses and engage your mind with over 100 hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations, informative talks, author panels, book signings, and engaging presentations for all ages.

Explore the UA’s science-rich campus by participating in open houses, tours, and events throughout the course of the weekend. Visitors will experience the connection between our daily lives and advances in science, as well as hear about the ground-breaking research being done right here at the UA.

On March 5, 2017, the Arizona Daily Star will publish a comprehensive Tucson Festival of Books companion guide from which you will be able to customize and plan your visit to Science City and the Festival at large. Pick up your copy at the Science City Visitor Centers which will be located on the east and west ends of Science City.

Science City is held with the UA College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and in partnership with the Arizona SciTech Festival
